At just 19 years of age Jouhayna AlMheiri was part of the 0.2% of women worldwide to

successfully make it into an Air Traffic Control Program. She put in the hard work and

beat the odds and successfully completed the training making her the youngest woman

and second Emirati woman to ever successfully complete Air Traffic Control Training at

the Area Control Center based in Abu Dhabi.

 

She uses her experience over the last decade to spread awareness about her big yet

unknown role in keeping the skies of her country safe as a motivational speaker at

schools and has headlined a local TEDx event with the theme "A Perfectly Imperfect World".

 

Jouhayna has professionally hosted the Dubai Airshow's ‘Global Air Traffic

Management‘ Conference making her the first woman in history to be a host in 2021.

 

She has also hosted global milestone events in Dubai such as:

Women in Aviation General Assembly 2021 and 2022,

Future Innovation Summit 2022,

World AI Show and Awards 2022

 

She has also conducted an original Air Traffic Control Workshop which was a great

success with the Royal Aeronautical Society and has been presented at schools and

career fairs to spread awareness of Air Traffic Control to the next generation.
